According to our schoolbooks the next nouns in English have a gender:
Masculine - Sun, wind, fear, love. Feminine - Moon, Earth, ship, boat, car, hope, justice, modesty, peace. Also some countries have a feminine gender (England, France, Russia etc)
These examples most commonly meat in poetry though :) Hence my thought about Old English heritage:)
