Tbilisi is a lovely city, but to experience "real Georgia" you must go away from there. :) And then you will feel like you are living in another century. Infrastructure, or lack thereof, especially for traffic flow, is really erratic and makes absolutely no sense. The scariest and worst driving culture I've seen in all my travels. But I will write about this...:) Friendly people, food, nature - Georgia's real strength from a tourist perspective. Glad your parents got to experience it! :)
