To me, Georgia is something that pretends to be 'civilized' but actually is wild. Personally, I don't like such things. If I'm going to a wild place (exaggeratedly say Sahara desert), then it should be wild; if I'm visiting a civilized country, I should not have a problem with crossing a road :)
BTW, if you like such kind of places, I'd suggest to visiting Ukraine also: driving is much better and safe, but in general it's a pretty wild place :-D
