"Typical American woman"

I don't know how foreigners perceive the "typical American woman." However, three times this week, I have been called this.

Stereotypes - they are very damaging in many cases, and must be quashed. We are all influenced by stereotypes on some level, but I really try to erase them from memory when traveling, forming impressions based only on pure experience. Most recently, I can say it about Georgia - where everyone warned me about all kinds of things, when in reality I encountered almost none of the horrors mentioned. In the end, we are responsible for the company we keep. You have the choice to surround yourself with good, positive and uplifting...or, you can run wild with the animals in the zoo.

Most people using this phrase - "typical American woman" have never even met, or had any real experience with an American woman. Therein lies the problem...that is all I really want to say for today. :)

Честно говоря у меня нет стереотипа не только типичной американки, но и типичной русской. Все нынче очень разные. :)

I hope if you are an alien, at least not an "illegal" one, in danger of being deported under the coming new regime. I would hate to see you gone over the other side of the wall..Although it might be that Mexico will soon start looking as a bastion of freedom in comparison.

(As an aside, don't you think we should also build a wall along the Canadian border? It is way longer than the Mexican one, and building it would provide lots of shovel-ready jobs who people with high school education who voted for you-know-whom. If he could also only get Justin Trudeau to pay for said wall..)

It's okay, I understand. It's such a pathetic show already with his unqualified cabinet appointees thus far. I don't want to live in a country with walls. Just a complete nightmare for someone with my life outlook...I support almost none of his positions, and almost vomit each time I hear one of those "thank you" rally speeches. Depressing that this is our future...:(

If only enough liberals and left-leaning centrists had participated in the election, this would not have happened. My only hope is that federal judges start putting stays to most of his executive orders.
