I've never really encountered any American prejudices in my travels, and even if I did I wouldn't care. I'd simply ignore such people. I don't care if people hate America or think we're immoral hedonist. They are entitled to their opinion. I only get upset when people speak about my country and people, yet have never traveled here to see the way we actually live. This is what happened in my first Russian post, where I was critical of the country. A major troll invasion in comments, yet almost none of the most vocal opponents of America had ever stepped foot in the country. For me, I have a frame of comparison. I've traveled to Russia, know a lot of Russians (in the States and abroad) and have been to other countries. It makes a difference in the strength and truth of perception.

There's another interesting thing about most Russians. They can complain about the country amongst themselves, but when an outsider criticizes the motherland all hell breaks loose! This is especially true when the person is a pindo. :)) Most Americans don't take attacks on their country so personally.
