Hi, I am an Italian girl happily engaged with an Ukrainian man. I can say that southern Italians and Russians are very similar under many aspects you listed, that's why I faced practically no difficulty to understand my bf. I like his macho and always viril attitude, this makes me feel more feminine, it turns me on. Everytime I step close to him and kiss him I feel the fire, if you know what I mean. :D Well... it ends in bed most of the times... for hours!!! Russian men like women to be feminine, and under the feminine concept falls not only the concept to wear and act like a female, but also the idea that a woman needs a man (and of course, a man needs a woman but for other things). Men like to feel useful for their women, that's why they like to pay for them. It's a way to appreciate them. Nothing turns them off more than a woman in career that puts career first and sees nothing else than work and money. Russian men like sexy women who are ready to become mothers, and like to protect them. They are their treasure. In this they are not different at all from Italian men. Sometimes I give him a lift by car, but only occasionally. The rule is that he comes to bring me and pays for me. To return the favour a woman can do other things for his man, like making him a surprise gift or cuddling him or cooking something for him. We can cook, sew (if we are able, I am not in all honestly) or painting something for our dears. But paying for them is the worst way to appreciate them because this diminishes their virility and shakes the roles. In a solid couple the man is the head of the family and the woman the neck ;) About the fact that Russian men are not faithful I don't know what to think. I believe that until they are in love they don't cheat. My bf justifies his best friend for cheating his wife telling that she has become fat, lazy and without interests. Let's be honest: I would cheat my bf too if he became fat, lazy and boring. Who wouldn't? So in conclusion I feel to say that it depends. We can't give all the guilt to men. Here in Italy men betryal statistically more than women only because men are less able to hide and lie. In reality the proportion is very similar and does not depends in nationality but on the situation that the couple is living. This said, I feel to say that Russian/Ukrainian men are among the best I have ever dated. Once I dated an American and I would never do it again. Never met such a supericial and stupid person.
