Greetings from Montana!
Feb. 22nd, 2016 10:07 pm
By the time most of you read this, I'll be on my way to the Indian reservation to visit the Blackfeet Nation in Montana. I'm spending the day with the Tribal Council Leader, a teacher at the elementary school on the reservation and a local tribal lawyer. If they will allow me to photograph people and the reservation, I'll be sure to write a report about it. Mainly I want to go to see for myself how Native Americans live on a real reservation, where there is no tourism attached. If you have specific questions you want me to ask the locals or Tribal Council Leader, please write them in the comments and I'll try to find the answer.
I'll try to start publishing reports again when I get back later this week, but I can honestly say Montana is a very unique State due to its vastness and sparse population. It sometimes feels like you're the only human in the universe when you're driving on these open, endless roads...
P.S.: Happy Defender of the Fatherland Day to all my male readers. I don't know if this day is only to honor those who have served in the Russian army, or if it's now a day to celebrate all men, but either way I congratulate you! I hope the women in your lives treated you well on this day, and all others. :)
