I don't lump all Russians together, and know that some gladly welcome tourists. Some are friendly and open, but it's not the prevalent demeanor in Russia. Perhaps you are so accustomed to living in this environment that you don't even notice all the gloomy faces and rudeness. I know the foundation of the behavior, but when will it change? The nation will just live in misery its whole existence based on its tortured past?
