Snow in the beginning of the spring! Wow! Do you remember I told you about a very early spring that was here in Saint-Petersburg in the beginning of March? After that there were several snowfalls and temperatures decreases and now though all snow is already melted we are having an ordinary spring. :))) Previous weekend I've been at my parents' place, it is 500 km to the south from Saint-Petersburg and there they had a real spring! I forgot have I told you about one Russian spring superstition? It is about a butterfly and a frog, if in spring you see a butterfly before you see a frog you will fly all the year like a butterfly (a good sign), but if you see a frog before a butterfly you will crawl during the whole year (a bad sign). And on the previous weekend when me and my parents were visiting their dacha I saw several butterflies and a frog (fortunately 5 minutes later :)) I usually manage to see butterflies at first, but there was a year when I saw a frog before them! It was such a strange encounter! It is very easy to see butterflies in our cities because there are a little flower beds on our pavements, but frog are rare guests! And this frog was sitting on asphalt with no any grass or ground near it. I thought it had been placed there by some person who believed in this superstition and had decided to "spoil" a year for all other citizens. :)))
