there are tons of great movies both Russian and Soviet: Ирония судьбы, или с легким паром; Служебный роман; Остров, Гарпастум, Как я провел этим летом, В бой идут одни старики... it depends of what kind of movies you prefer. i haven't thought about film making as about something glamorous but as working process of creating (sounds not good, right?)) ).
