Nope. You just do not know the context. Sex matters in Japanese culture were always not seen as a "sin". Sex was always supposed a natural, healthy and necessary thing, and sex-related images were always present.

The bad thing is that today, many Japanese male prefer virtual (starting from manga books and going up to more technically advanced things)to normal one.
