To add 2 and 3 you just put 2 beads one side then add 3 to them: the result is 5. Repeat this for all digits keeping carry and get the final answer. Subtraction looks the same. Multiplication and division is possible also but harder. You can easily replace this device with pen and paper but you will need more and more paper while this device is easily erasable :)
