Love such landscapes! Basically it's the same as in Seattle but colder.
It's interesting how the nature steadily changes when you drive South along the Pacific coast. From all conifers around Seattle to apricots growing in Oregon. And to hills with yellow grass burned by the Sun in Silicon Valley.
