People talking about AZ heat usually never experienced it. To me, summer in Georgia and overall humidity of the East Coast were much worth. There are 6 weeks of extreme temperature a year, and we usually take a vacation during that time and survive by running really quick from the car to the building entrance. I consider it a minor inconvenience comparing to many benefits Arizona has to offer: proximity to the Mexican beaches and to the snow, beautiful nature, 10 months a year of outdoor activities, good schools, cheap mortgage, nice roads, decent shopping.
