Well, your guess is correct: to stay invisible - say nothing and photo nothing :))) Even indoor photos may lead the way to you :) FSB's not a concern, but some crazy stalkers... who knows? :)))

Hints as follows:
. 3 major landmarks - Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument and United States Capitol, taken slightly from the right of the line conjoining them
. following the line to the left (on the map) with some angle-shifts eye will meet a number of highrises at the beginning of Arlington, but only three of them are possible: Courtland Towers and Courthouse Crossings/Commons - also keeping in mind the location of Fort Myer
. however, Crossings/Commons are out of the list when a glance hits the photo of the complex - it's somehow distorted, and Crossings/Commons are a box and a symmetry
There is also a couple of lesser hints as well related to glance angles :)

Honestly, I have no idea about an average rent here... it highly depends on location and other conditions: there are choices for living like a Queen - and chances to die from hunger as your salary will be even less than a rent :) The only thing I know for sure that a studio in the building across the street costs $300 as it belongs to my neighbour :)

And... I would say showing your income here is not a really great idea :)
