Well, lets look at the fact. A criminal attempted to murder a police office and did not surrender himself when failed in the attempt. The police officer responded to a deadly thread by shooting and killing the attacker, no one else was injured. I think the case is closed. We can speculate all we want but I think this case went by the book.
