Can't be any highland state, nor California, it's too dry there for such trees to grow.

Can't be South, because those tiny wild pine trees don't really grow there mixed with ordinary leaf trees.

And besides, i can't imagine this kind of architecture in the South. Dunno why, but feeling is, the use more limestone.

My guess is it's Colorado, Wyoming, Montana. Maybe Washington.

Though these are places that i'm sorry i didn't catch in my trip.

This photo was made by yourself. The trees are without leaves, also there's no snow.
I can consider, that you've made this photo not a long time ago, this winter. In your last posts you mentioned your trip to Mid-West, so this building could be there.
You've also mentioned, that you've met Ron Lessman, it's near Kansas City.
The weather on your photo with Ron Lessman is the same as on this one.

So I would say, it is Kansas City area. Maybe the closest town is Topeca.

It seems many Russians are interested in American gun culture. I should write more posts on this topic, because my family owns guns and I go to the shooting range frequently.
