Where are the most well kept, colorful and orderly homes in Russia? I don't mean mansions or dachas, but ordinary houses that are the primary living space for the occupants. Over the weekend, I began to process a lot of photos from the last winter journey and it's difficult to pick the city with the most vibrant and charming homes. In recent posts, I've shown only a few depressing and grey towns from the last journey, namely, Vologda and Ivanovo. In the upcoming stories, you'll see the opposite. Vibrant life, cleaner roads, and beautiful winter landscapes that immediately delight the eyes. Why are some cities so clean and pleasant and others dirty and gloomy? Is it the residents that live there, the financial resources of the local administration, or something else? Each of these towns is dealing with the same weather conditions, the same snow and the same ice. Can you guess the town pictured here and in the photos after the cut?

1. I don't know which color is most eye catching - green, blue or yellow? I like them all, and especially this house with the green plants and colored pots nicely placed in the windows.

2. Even in this town, there are some homes which appear to be abandoned, but they are not as apocalyptic as the sunken, destroyed homes I saw all over Central Russia. No busted windows, broken fences or collapsed roofs.

3. Compare with this, from my first trip to Russia.

Can you guess in which town these lovely homes appear? I'll reveal the answer later this week. :)

I don't know this guy! It's before my time. I'm old, but not that old! :) I was born in the 70's. From the 60's, I only know Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello. They also did "beach party" films, which are great. Do you know "Beach Blanket Bingo"? If not, watch it.

But Eric Von Zipper took a part in that movie 8)
I love american cinema. Movie stars 50s and 40s are great, matchless beauties. They shine on the screen.

I agree. I think women were more classy and beautiful in those times. Now, too many young girls run around looking like 20 year olds when they're only 13 or 14. I think it must be confusing for men. :)

I'm too old to be confused. Those who are twenty years old they are looking through me, i don't exist for them.

How old are you? A lot of women prefer older men. But you must remain faithful to your wife! :)

There is only one woman with whom i could cheat my wife. But fortunately we have separated by huge distance so i holier and sinlesser than the Pope.

Good man. One of my male Russian readers told me that he cheats on his wife, and it is acceptable "as long as the other woman doesn't get pregnant." :)

Morality changes continuously. I think we are lagging behind the progress :( If you are watching french movies, where everyone is sleeping with everyone, it becomes obvious8)

French movies? It's more entertaining to troll Alexander in his last post, as Peter and I did. :)
