Yes, it is not well loved in the world, and this is their own fault. As I wrote in the post, if the country was more comfortable and accessible for foreign tourists, perhaps it would be more loved. People would go there, have an opportunity to meet and speak with ordinary Russians, see the landscapes and history, etc. But this has not been the case, and probably never will be.
