Older Women

My blogosphere buddy [livejournal.com profile] inamora laid out an interesting post today about women over 40. This is my exact age, having celebrated my 40th birthday this February in Moscow. I can hardly believe it because I still feel like a twenty year old in spirit. The post and comments are really interesting. I think next week I'll lay out a post about being a single, childless woman at 40. It seems inconceivable to many, especially Russian men, that a woman in this position can be happy and fulfilled.

I highly recommend this blogger. We're different in many ways - she's openly promiscuous and I'm a serial monogamist. The things we want from a man are in most ways opposite. However, she's very intelligent and an interesting writer. I like her much better than the prostitute blogger, or that horror miss_tramell who is always in TOP LJ. I don't understand the appeal of this blogger at all.

To me, age has always been merely a number. I've dated men much younger than me, and men my own age. But never an older man. The most important thing in a partner is finding true comfort, someone who accepts you as is and shares the same passions in life. Older women - we're not so bad! Trust me. ;)

Have a nice weekend!

I found this blog highly disappointing. She looks as ordinary Social Capital and cheap popularity seeker, playing on scandalous ground. Her age - 23 doesn't make her any specialist in judging people for me. Not my cup of tee at all. It was worth to have a look once, but no more. I found my husband in age 56 on dating site myself, being highly overweight, quit ugly and very poor. So I found her opinion about women in their 40 just ageist and meaningless. But I appreciate that is my opinion only and I don't insist being correct.

Sure, she is not for everyone. And her views are clearly reflective of a 23 year old, as I said above in my comments. :) I find her interesting because her lifestyle is so different than mine, and I'm always curious about different mindsets. And this miss_tramell, have you read her blog? I think she's the worst and most annoying female blogger on LJ, yet always at the top.

I have been once. Never more!!! The most repulsive sickening blog ever. But you should keep in mind that many of such kind of blogs are just money making machines.

Yes, I'm quickly learning how LJ works. :) Have a nice weekend.

Rather, aforementioned author graciously presents you with a good chance to watch one of the most distinctive facets of Russian mind in all its glory :) Oftentimes, there is no any need to be nice and friendly to gather popularity and admiration, therein lies a problem, which is not limited to the blogosphere, but has to do with long-established national tradition.

It's a pity, but this exists on a greater scale here on LJ. The downfall of anonymity and the Internet. A big breeding ground for fools.
